GUITAR ACE MARC FORD EXPOSES HIS “SECRET PLEASURE”,
EXORCISES DEMONS FOR NEW, INTENSE BLUES BUREAU RELEASE

The Blues has just taken a deep breath of fresh air.

Marc Ford (The Black Crowes, Burning Tree, Ben Harper) and his band The Neptune Blues Club accomplish nearly the impossible: their self-titled debut is rife with original and fresh material yet is steeped in traditional blues.

“I wanted this record to be a different kind of blues record,” says the record’s producer Ford, whose world-weary vocals and ferocious slide guitar playing permeate every track on the record. “Why bother doing something that has already been done before?”

"No End in Sight' for Pro-Pain on New Regain Release

Pro-Pain’s 11th album, the aptly titled “No End in Sight,” is now available in stores via Regain Records.

After 16 years together, Pro-Pain has not lost an ounce of the rage and fury that has driven the band to create equally hard-hitting albums.

“We still enjoy making music together as a band on and off stage, and we feel as though some of our best records have been made in recent times,” said vocalist/bassist/founding member Gary Meskil. “Our fans are also a very important factor when it comes to our longevity.  Without their diehard support, we would probably not be able to continue in the same capacity.”

Die-hard fans know what to expect with each album, but they also know that each will have its own flair. “No End in Sight” is Pro-Pain’s most melodic offering to date while still maintaining a traditional Pro-Pain heaviness.

The Underwater has scheduled live dates in and around its home base of York, Penn., following the release of its new album, “Forces.”

The hard-working group toured nationally and internationally while promoting its EPs recorded prior to “Forces,” and now The Underwater is focusing on a string of dates before hitting the road for more full-fledged touring.  Longtime fans in these areas will be thrilled about the return of The Underwater, a band that truly shines in the live arena.

“With all of the pressure and stress that goes along with being in a band, the live show is the one thing that is still just as exciting and fun to me as it was when I was a little kid in a garage band,” said guitarist Matt Holmes.  “When I was younger, I remember not being able to sleep before a shitty little fire hall show because I was so nervous and excited.  That’s the one part of the day that is my time and no one can take from me, and I hope I never lose that passion to play and perform.”
